Hi my name is Andrea, I am a self confessed animal lover
I rescued my first dog at the age of 11years old, and that is how it all began.
I have been involved in rescuing, training and caring for animals for most of my life.
As part of my animal rescue I Qualified in animal welfare and worked as an RNZSPCA inspector in the Far North.
I founded Melka Kennels and Cattery in the Far North in 2000. ( To see pictures and reviews from the kennels just visit my facebook page.) I closed the kennels in March 2020 and made the big move to Magical Mangawhai to start our new life. Our new paradise is for pampered pooches to come for their holidays.
